Brief History:

The planning and establishment of “Wirreanda High School” began in the early 1970s as the population growth rate of the City of Noarlunga increased. The school was named Wirreanda after one of the oldest homesteads in the district. From its early years, Wirreanda was recognised for its strong interest in Sport and Physical Education which continues now through our Specialist Sport Course and Programs. Wirreanda formally changed its name to Wirreanda Secondary School in 2014.
