This cemetery is located between Premont and Bohain not far from Cambrai in the Aisne district of northern France.
This vicinity was behind German lines for most of the war and was captured by the American 30th Division on the 8th October 1918. The 30th Division had numbers of Australian Officer and NCO advisors / mentors assigned to their units, a number of whom were decorated for bravery.
This cemetery contains the graves of 536 Commonwealth casualties of the First World War, eight of which are unidentified. There are also 36 German casualties buried here, two of which are unidentified.
