Mericourt-l'Abbe is north of the Somme River close to Corbie and about 6 kilometres south-east of Albert on the 'Roman Road' that connects Amiens and Bapaume.  The Communal Cemetery is a little east of the village and the Extension is to the south of the Communal Cemetery.
