During the Second World War, 1939-1945, the number 7 Service Flying Training School of the Royal Australian Airforce was based at Deniliquin in the New South Wales South West region. The Deniliquin War Cemetery contains 29 burials of Royal Australian Airforce aircrew, most of whom died in air training accidents.Buried in Deniliquin General Cemetery are 2 Australian soldiers and 8 Royal Australian Airforce airman of the Second World War. There are also two Australian burials of the First World War.
