BALD HILLS CEMETERY

Also known as, Sandgate Cemetery

Began in 1877, and was known as - Sandgate Cemetery - back to that era in time - when deceased were first buried in this cemetery.  Bald Hills Cemetery - as we know it today, is in the northern Brisbane regional suburb of Brackenridge.

Bald Hills Cemetery is apart of the (12) cemeteries of the Brisbane City Council, also Bald Hills Cemetery is in the list of (9) Historical Cemeteries of Brisbane.

There are (10) Australian War Grave - casualties, and (2) Commonwealth War Grave Commission - casualties, buried at Bald Hills (aka, Sandgate) Cemetery.  To find 'graves in general at Bald Hills Cemetery, I would advise to obtain a full cemetery graves map from - Toowong Cemetery - Administration - who are in C/o, Bald Hills Cemetery, as there is no office on site.

It is also known as Bald Hills Historic Cemetery with regard to a great number of very old monumental graves within the grounds of Bald Hills Cemetery.  A very small cemetery, Bald Hills Cemetery nestled in the heart of suburbia, is on Barret Street which leads to the main entrance.

There is another pedestrian entrance at Pellinore Road, (both Barrett Street, & Pellinore Road - run parallel either side) of Bald Hills Cemetery.
