Description

White stone plinth with statue of Jesus

The St Mary’s College today was originally the Christian Brothers School and was opened in 1888. In 1979 it became “co-ed”.

In 1921 the present school War Memorial was erected to honour students who died in World War I. The local Casey family appears to have been the main sponsor. In 1993 Jack Casey sponsored its restoration in its new position.
