Description

Wooden Honour Board

This board was originally in the Payneham Public School at 374 Payneham Road Payneham. The school closed at this location and moved to a new site in Felixstowe in about 1970. The board remained in the old building which was transferred to the then Payneham Council for use as a Community Centre.

The board was taken down in 2015 from the old school and displayed as a part of a Great War exhibition in the Cultural Heritage Centre of the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters. Following the exhibition it was placed in storage at the Cultural Heritage at 101 Payneham Road St Peters.
