Description

The Garden of Memory has two entrances, one from the main road from the west the other from the civilian cemetery from the north. The western entrance has gardens on both sides of the road, the left for 1914-18 and the right for 1939-45. In the centre of the road is a flagpole with three plaques at its base and to the right is a covered notice board. The notice board contains the history and relevant data of the military cemetery. The top of the western entrance forms a T-junction with the north-south road. At this junction is a white marble Cross of Sacrifice surmounted on a white marble pedestal and sur-base, on the face of the cross is a bronze Crusader's sword. The northern entrance has two columns; bronze plaques are affixed to the faces and tops. To the left of the right column is a granite boulder with a bronze plaque for National Servicemen affixed to the face.
