THIS MEMORIAL ERECTED & UNVEILED ON THE 2ND OF NOVEMBER 2012, IN HONOUR OF THOSE MEN FROM THE BRUCE ROCK DISTRICT WHO SERVED WITH HONOUR & PRIDE DURING WW1 & WW2. THEY PAID THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE SO WE CAN GO ON LIVING IN A FREE COUNTRY. WITH A DEEP SENSE OF GRATITUDE WE WILL NEVER FORGET THEIR GALLANTRY AND THE LEGACY THEY LEFT US. THEY SET A VERY HIGH STANDARD ON THE BATTLEFIELD AND SO BECAME KNOWN AS BEING UP THERE WITH THE BEST SOLDIERS IN THE WORLD. A STANDARD THAT IS CARRIED ON TODAY WITH THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO SERVE OUR NATION.
