Located at the rear of the Maitland Public School hall at 70 Elgin Street, Maitland NSW. Established in 1874, West Maitland Superior Public School became just a primary school in 1943 and changed its name to Maitland Public School in 1949.

When a new assembly hall was construct in relatively recent times, it was placed in a hallway behind the stage. Unfortunately it is not in a particularly public location for viewing.
