Description

A superb collection of authenticated medals awarded to Members of the Club or South Australians. Stored in a secure display.

The Club acquired the original medal collection by gift from Major C.R. Dunan in February 1957. The collection had belonged to his late brother and the donation was made in his memory.

The main collection of individual medals comprises English and Australian campaign medals dating from the Napoleonic Wars. Each is engraved with the recipient's name.

Subsequently, the collection has been augmented by loans, donations and bequests from Members and their families.
