Description

An intricately engraved brass plaque.

The plaque was approved by the Parish Council on 19th July, 1922.

A report from The Register on Saturday 14th October, 1922, page 14 under the 'Religious Notes', states:

'The Bishop of Adelaide (Right Rev. Dr. Thomas) will unveil a roll of honour at St. George's, Magill, on Sunday afternoon. The memorial is in the form of a brass tablet. It is suitably inscribed, and shows the names of 26 (sic) parishioners who served in the great war.' Source - trove.nla.gov.au website.
