Description

Commemorating Multiple conflicts

This monument commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

Made up of a semi-circular concrete retaining wall, inscribed with names of all battles in which Australians have served, is built into the side of a small hill in the park, across the road from Redlands RSL and the Cleveland cenotaph.

A Statue of an armed guard who stands, head bowed reversing and resting on arms – that is, leaning on a weapon held upside down – facing outward, as a symbolic form of respect for those who have fallen is present forward of the wall and flagpoles.
