Description

A memorial surmounted by the school crest in bronze, a Sphinx, and bearing at its base a sundial stands in the grounds of the Perth Modern School as a memorial to old boys of the school who died in service or were killed in action in World War One.

Built Designed by W. B. Hardwick (architect) Mr Marriott (sphinx) Built by C. W. Arnott It was erected by funds subscribed by students and ex-students of the school.
Opened 22 October 1922 by His Excellency, the Lieutenant Governor, Sir Robert McMillan
