Condition

MAINTAINED BY: Elliston Council

PECULIARITIES/DAMAGE: Deterioration of base of the black granite is due to rising salt damp. According to Elliston council, this problem is due to mismanagement of filling in the old swamp area. Most of the buildings in the town being similarly affected. Council is currently trying to solve the problem.
Initials to each name on the southern face are in a type of Old English script.
