Description | The Daylesford Avenue of Honour was established circa World War One to commemorate the local people who served in World War One. The Avenue was planted with a double row of 218 Sycamore (Acer pseudoplantanus), Copper Sycamore (Acer pseudoplantanus 'Purpureum') and Spanish Chestnut (Castanea satiua) trees. The Avenue originally had tree guards and plaques but all plaques have been lost. |
