Description

Wooden honour board commemorating members of the Tasmanian Amateur Athletics Association who served inthe First World War.
The board was commissioned in 1921. It contained a complete record of all men who enlisted and who had competed under the Association anywhere in Tasmania. It was unveiled by Sir Herbert Nicholls, President of the Association on 26 September 1921.
As the Association had no formal rooms at the time, it was subsequently placed on a wall in the Hobart Public Library, Argyle Street building.
