Description

A white marble memorial comprising a statue of a soldier standing at ease with a tree trunk behind the right leg on a rough-cut surbase mounted on a pedestal, this in turn is mounted on a curved sub-base and concrete slab. Behind the monument is a flagpole; all details are in black.

PECULIARITIES/DAMAGE: Letters missing, top of rifle broken, traces of graffiti. Rifle removed in 2004 and a new right hand fitted 2004 following vandalism
