Large stone monument with carved pedestals placed either side of the monument. Polished granite name plaques are affixed to the lower half of the monument. A separate name plaque recognising a native York recipient of the Victoria Cross is also affixed to the monument.

A native of York W.A. who was awarded the Victoria Cross for extreme gallantry at Madame Wood, France 23rd August 1918.

Dedicated by the York Sub Branch of the RSL.
