Description

This monument was originally located in the front of Trades Hall Building and was later moved to Anzac Square in 1939
It is believed that the model for the statue was Sergeant Frederick James Hockey, of the 1st Queensland Mounted Infantry. Sergeant Hockey also served in World War One, and became a major during that conflict.
