Description

Bronze statue of a Digger 'at the ready' designed and executed by William Priestly Macintosh. Inscribed beneath the figure are the words 'Freedom, Justice and Australia'. The statue is mounted on a trachyte pedestal with four Corinthian columns with bronze capitals, the whole on a stepped base. Pedestal designed by Oscar Backhouse.
