Description

The memorial was originally located on a traffic island at the intersection of Moggill and Brookfield Roads and relocated to the new memorial park in October 1988.

Opened 3 July 1920 by General Spencer Browne
Inscription

Erected by the residents of the Shire of Moggill,

In appreciation of those who sacrificed their lives in the cause of freedom.

"Their name liveth for evermore."

We remember with gratitude their dedication and gentle care for our severely wounded. Without their support in such fearsome conditions many of us would not have survived during the critical struggles defeating the invading Japanese forces in World War II.

Presented by one who survived and for those who did not come home. Lieut. Colin H. Richardson.
