Description

The Carillon, with 35 bells, was constructed as a memorial to the men of Bathurst and District who served in World War One. The memorial now commemorates those who have served in other conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

A bronze Honour Roll containing over 430 names and a plaque will be affixed to the Carillion and unveiled on Anzac Day 2015 commemorating people from Bathurst and the wider district who lost their lives in the First World War. The Bathurst RSL received funds under the "Saluting their Service " grant to commemorate the Centenary of Anzac in 2015.

The Carillon, with 35 bells, was constructed in 1933 as a memorial to the men of Bathurst and District who served in World War One. Doors commemorating both World Wars provide entry to an interior featuring an eternal flame of remembrance. A number of plaques have been added to commemorate sacrifices made by Australian servicemen and servicewomen in subsequent conflicts. The memorial is located on Kings Parade - parkland bounded by William, George, Church and Russell streets.

Base is made from Mechanical pressed bricks and the top from hand made sandstock bricks all from the Bliss Brickworks in Bathurst.
