Type honour_board
Description

The board, which was made by Mr G. Broomfield, stands fully 8ft.high, and measures 6ft. 6in. across, the names being in three panels. The head of the board (which, with the outer moulding, is stained and vanished) is occupied by a scroll work bearing in gold letters the words: "The Great War. Singleton S. P. School. Roll of Honour and also the Union Jack and Australian flags in colours. The names are written in white, in large, clear script, on a black
ground. The painting and "writing" were done by Messrs M. and B. Anderson. The board is a very handsome memorial, and such a memento of national service and patriotic-spirit could not well be placed in a better place than the school, in which our soldiers had their
childhood's training.
