Description

The roll of honor for the Kellyville district, recently unveiled by Mr. R. B. Orchard, M.H.R., consists of an oak frame work enamelled to represent white marble, with a movable polished panel of maple, on which, in gold letters under plate glass, are the names of 32 soldiers, representing 22 families, who have gone to the front. Five have fallen, and these are shown by Maltese crosses after their names. It is erected on the public school wall facing Windsor-road, from which the names can be easily read.

Since 1919 the Memorial Board has been mounted in various locations around Kellyville. First was Kellyville Public School in 1919 followed by the Kellyville Memorial Hall – 1924, Kellyville Recreation Centre Kellyville Park – 1990, and in 2018 it has finally been returned to its original location on the heritage listed Kellyville Public School building.
