Description | The nave of the Anglican church at Kaniva was re-hallowed and the sanctuary, vestry and memorial gifts were unveiled and dedicated by Archdeacon Joseph Best of Ballarat in 1940. Archdeacon Best had served as a Chaplain in the AIF during the First World War. Mathieson & Gibson installed a series of twelve windows in the nave and presented the gift of a porch window. The west window of St. Augustine, was flanked by quarry windows set with the AIF badge in the First World War window and the RAAF badge above the inscription for the Second World War. |
