A World War One 105mm Krupp Field Gun, manufactured in Germany in 1906 and captured by the 41st Australian Infantry Battalion, A.I.F., during the last great Australian Offensive of the war in 1918.

This Krupp 105mm Field Gun was manufactured in Germany in 1908
and captured by the 41st Infantry Battalion of the First Australian
Imperial Forces in August 1918 during the last great Australian offensive
in France in World War 1.

The Field Gun was shipped out to Australia in 1918 in the SS Bulla as a
War Trophy and placed in the trust of the then Toombul Shire Council,
and the then Northgate Sub Branch & District Returned Sailors' &
Soldiers' Imperial League of Australia Queensland Branch.

Following its restoration by members of the Nundah Northgate RSL
Sub Branch the Field Gun was repositioned on this site and unveiled by
