THIS MONUMENT WAS ERECTED BY THE RESIDENTS OF THE DISTRICTOF LUCINDALE IN MEMORY OF THE BRAVE WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR.

Lower tier:

GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS THAT A MANLAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDSLest we forget.
