Built Monument Designer: Mr G.R.Bryce (architect) Monument Manufacturer: Mr J. Stewart (gates) Mr. W. McAndrew (woodwork), Mr.L. Cheers (ironwork)
Opened 11 November 1922 by Mrs. J. W. Banner, wife of the president of the Byron Shire, and that of formally declaring the gates open, by the Hon. Massy Greene, Minister for Defence.
