Type memorial
Description

Tumby Bay RSL, largely through the efforts of LTCOL (R) Geoff Stewart, has created a spectacular tribute to the people of Tumby Bay and District who served the nation since WW1.

It comprises framed photographs with each containing the particulars of the people from the District who have served. The photographs are arranged across the wall of one of two main rooms in the building.

In the Lobby is a similar Tribute to the Fallen, complemented by a large Bronze Plaque bearing the names of the Fallen. In WW1, these men represented 20% of all the men who had volunteered to serve from the town and surrounds.

Opposite is a similar tribute to WW2 personnel.

The Memorial is complemented by a display of memorabilia and artefacts .
