BORN 9TH NOVEMBER 1946 FALKLANDS ISLANDS
DIED 18TH FEBRUARY 1968 VIETNAM

David moved with his family to Penola
in 1960. He was conscripted for National
Service Duty in April 1967 and sent to
South Vietnam as a Sapper with 1st Field
Squadron, Royal Australian Engineers.

David was killed at Fire Support Base
Anderson, Bien Hoa Province, becoming
the only Penola serviceman to be killed
in action in South Vietnam.

This tree was planted in his memory and
this plaque unveiled by his mother,
