Description

A series of three large unpolished grey granite slabs on which the inscription and names are etched.
The leading slab forms one side of the stairway up to the playing fields.
The school emblem and a Bible verse are inscribed.
There is a bronze dedication plaque on the opposing side of the stairway

SYDNEY CHURCH OF ENGLAND GRAMMAR SCHOOL 1914-1918 WAR MEMORIAL PLAYING FIELDS

[Bronze dedication plaque on opposite stair wall] This roll of honour was generously provided by the Shore Old Boys' Union in honour of those Old Boys and Masters of the school who served their nation on greater fields. It was dedicated by the Right Reverend Dr Glen Davies BSc, PhD, MDiv, ThM, DipA, Bishop of Sydney and Old Boy of Shore.
