Description

A large carved wooden Honour Roll board, in the classical style of a temple front, with Redfern Electrical Workshops railways employee's names who served in the First World War, written in gilt in two columns. Top of the honor board contains a painting of a red ribbon with "For King & Country" in gold font, and "Men From the Staff of the Electrical W/shops, Redfern Who Left to Fight for Home & Freedom." below.

Later the Electrical Workshops employees names who served in the Second World War were added to bottom of the second column. It was produced by Electrical Workshops staff, and after its closure in 1988 was placed in storage. It is currently on display within Sydney Trains' offices (2016).
