Description

Of obelisk type, the base being of reinforced concrete, each of the four faces bearing a panel white marble bearing the names inscriptions and designs inlaid with characters and letters. On the pedimental cap, inlaid with lead, is a design of crossed guns, the Union Jack and the Australian Flag. From the base to the apex of the obelisk measures aproximately 4.8 metres. The monument is surrounded by a wrought iron, set between eight decorative concrete posts. The design concept and builder was W. Larcombe and Son of Dubbo.
