Description

"The Roll of Honour is of the Ionic order in design. The plinth is of white Carara marble, as are the bases and capitals of the columns. The fluted shafts of the columns are polished Australian Spring Hill marble.

The entablature, frieze and cornice are Carara marble with a highly polished surface. On the pediment, richly carved, is the monogram of the school set in a laurel wreath.

The panel bearing the names is 4 ft by 2 ft 6 in [1220 mm x 763 mm] and the overall size is 5 ft 4 in by 5 ft 7 in [1635 mm x 1703 mm].

The memorial is the work of Messrs. Meldrum and Markey, with the co-operation of Mr Scoular, and in its technical excellence and artistic effect is a work of which the school may well be proud."
