The honour roll records the names of ex-students from Neutral Bay Public School who served their country in the First World War. It was unveiled on 18 July 1919 by the Minister of Education.

The honour roll is made of stained timber (frames, panels, scrolls) with gold gilding and patriotic artwork (Union Jack and Red Ensign flags).

In all, 402 ex-students of Neutral Bay Public School served in the war, 45 of whom did not return. Ex-students who gained distinguished honours include the youngest Australian soldier to serve in the war (Leonard Jackson, 13 years old) and Lieutenant Colonel D. Marks, DSO, MC, Croix de Guerre and White Eagle of Serbia.

The honour roll hangs in the administration foyer of Neutral Bay Public School.
