Description

A colourfully decorated and scripted parchment roll, set behind glass in a dark wooden frame. In the centre above the veterans' names are the Australian Crest, set between the crossed Australian flag and Union Jack, and two laurel wreaths, one on the left and one on the right. Half way down the list of names are two shields. The one on the left has the words “They played the Game” across it and the one on the right has the words “For King and Country”. Beneath the names are two crossed rifles with bayonets with the Australian Imperial Force badge in the centre, and the words “Defence Defiance”.

The text at the bottom of the parchment is significantly faded and some letters are no longer legible. The 'H' in the bottom right-hand corner may be the artist’s name.
