The memorial is a pressed bronze roll of honor plaque, mounted on a timber backing board which is edged with a timber frame. The dedication and names are inscribed on individual plates and attached to the middle of the plaque.

The memorial was made by the Wunderlich Company of Sydney and is decorated with their typical features, including flora, crossed swords and cannons. At the bottom of the plaque is a 'coat of arms' style emblem, with a ship, a sheep, mining equipment and a wheat sheaf. Their standard design was customizable with the details of the local community or organization commissioning the memorial. The name plates were made available for attachment.
