Description

This First World War honour board is a simple timber construction. It features a Norman-shaped top and four columns of names, which are neatly handwritten in gold. The list also includes the names of those who were rejected from service.

The roll was designed and painted by a local resident. They inscribed the start year of the war as '1914' but did not add the end year once the conflict ceased.

The school opened in January 1879 and closed in December 1966. The memorial is now held by the Inverell RSL sub-Branch. It is located inside the Inverell Returned Servicemen's Memorial (R.S.M.) Club and access to it is restricted to the opening hours of the club.
