In November 1919, Richard Orchard, the then Federal Member for Nepean, unveiled the Kellyville Roll of Honour. It listed 32 soldiers, four of whom were killed in action in the First World War. It was attached to a wall at the Kellyville Public School, facing Windsor Road.
Since 1919, the board has been mounted in various locations around Kellyville:
1919 – Kellyville Public School
1924 – Kellyville Memorial Hall
1990 – Kellyville Recreation Centre, Kellyville Park
In 2018, it was returned to its original location, and attached to the heritage listed school building. On 15 November 2018, it was unveiled by the Hon. Dr Brendan Nelson AO, Director of the Australian War Memorial, and rededicated by Chaplain Nalbandian, Royal Australian Air Force, Richmond. It is approximately 6 feet (1.8m) tall and 3 feet (920mm) wide. Originally framed in oak, the maple board is now covered in glass
The roll of honor for the Kellyville district, recently unveiled by Mr. R. B. Orchard, M.H.R., consists of an oak frame work enamelled to represent white marble, with a movable polished panel of maple, on which, in gold letters under plate glass, are the names of 32 soldiers, representing 22 families, who have gone to the front. Five have fallen, and these are shown by Maltese crosses after their names. It is erected on the public school wall facing Windsor-road, from which the names can be easily read.
