A marble statue of a WW1 soldier standing at ease surmounted on a square cut limestone and granite capped pedestal and a four-tier granite base and concrete slab. All details are in gold leaf. The monument is on a triangular shaped island enclosed within a with a rail and wire mesh fence; a trench mortar is behind the monument
