Georgetown Etheridge War Memorial

Details

Location Greens Park, Gulf Developmental Road, Georgetown, Etheridge - Queensland, Australia
Type memorial
Description

The site is on the western banks of the Etheridge River and covers an area of approximately 60 square metres. The project (using local materials) involved the construction of 6 granite spires, up to 1.5 metres high. The spires represent the strength of the people who fought and lost their lives during wartime. Each spire incorporates several plaques bearing the names of local soldiers lost during times of conflict.
