ALBERTON SCHOOL HONOUR ROLL.
There was a large attendance of parents and old scholars at the Alberton Public School on Wednesday evening to arrange for the provision of a Roll of honour bearing the name of the old scholars who have enlisted. Mr. A. Gordon presided. Officers appointed, Secretary, Miss Audrey Wilson; Assistant Secretary, Mr. H. C Quartly; Treasurer (pro term), Mr. C. H. Dicker; Committee, Mesdames Kayser, A. O'Brien, and G. A. Moon, Miss E. Hardy, and Messrs. V Blackwood, V. Brooks, A. Hardy, N. Lewis, and A. Skipper. Nearly £8 was subscribed at the meeting. - The Register Friday 9 Aug 1918 page 8
