Memorial Library

John Tassie was a student of Roseworthy Agricultural College 1903–1905. Prior to enlistment he was a farmer at Wirrega.

During World War One he was killed in action in France on 25 April 1918 at the age of 33 years. He is buried in the Bonnay Communal Cemetery Extension, Picardie in France.

To his memory the Tassie Memorial Library was erected by his parents John and Esther with the permission of the Government.
