Manoora

Details

Manoora is a town in the Mid North region of South Australia, a part of the Clare and Gilbert District Council, located on the Barrier Highway.  It is situated on the upper reaches of the Gilbert River. It was formerly a stop on the railway line serving Burra from the junction at Riverton.  It serves as a hub for numerous farms in the district and has strong links to the nearby town of Mintaro.

Like many small rural towns its population has declined in recent years.

It maintains a proud connection with its history , in particular, the service rendered by its citizens in the country's name in the service of the nation.
