105 years ago, 24 year old Patrick Ohlstrom departed Adelaide aboard HMAT Geelong on a journey that would change his life.
He had enlisted to serve his country in the Great War.
Virtual War Memorial Australia collaborated with AFI award winning writer and Director Eddie White, to create the short film which will be available to teachers and students and anyone interested in storytelling.
Drawing from his personal diary and other primary sources such the film captures the basic essence of his Great War journey and honours his service and sacrifice.
