Son of John James DEMPSEY and Mary DEMPSY nee DRENNAN, Cox Street, Port Fairy, Vic.

On his return Jack married in 1926 to Miss Priscilla Chamberlain, the daughter of Alfred Matthew and Purdence Chamberlain of Port Fairy.  They had six children, three boys and three girls.

Jack died in 1940 aged 42 years.

PORT FAIRY. The death has occurred of Mr Herbert James (Jack) Dempsey, 42. He served in the old Sydney with the Royal Australiin Navy in the last war and has left a widow and 
family of six.

DEMPSEY.—On October 16, at Port Fairy, John dearly loved husband of Priscilla, and loving father of Frank, Patricia, Peter, Paul, Annie and Junie. —R.I.P.
