Brother of Samuel Dale who returned to Australia on 21 June 1919 having served with the 2nd Field Artillery Brigade and John Dale who returned to Australia on 23 May 1917 having served with the 26th Battalion
Commenced return to Australia on 23 May 1917aboard HT Bulla disembarking on the 8 July 1917
