Mr. Jack Kunkler
The death occurred in a Mullumbimby private hospital yesterday morning of Mr. Jack Kunkler, of Mullumbimby. The late Mr. Kunkler was a returned soldier and had been ailing since the war. He suffered the after-effects of a gas attack and other injuries. He received treatment, at intervals at Randwick Military Hospital and Kangaroo Point Hospital, Brisbane. Several months ago he became seriously ill.
Deceased was a married man, but had no family. He had resided at Mullumbimby for about 30 years, and was well respected throughout the district. He was 46 years of age.
The late Mr. Kunkler is survived by three brothers, Messrs. Harry (Uki), Frederick (Parramatta) and Leslie (Parramatta). Four sisters also are living. They are Mrs. E. Ryder (Sydney), Mrs. M. Gibson (Mullumbimby), Mrs. Fallalis (Mullumbimby) and Mrs. P. Stewart (Mullumbimby).
The funeral will take place today, the cortege being appointed to leave Mullumbimby Presbyterian Church at 11 o'clock.
