Joyce was the daughter of Joseph Arthur Milburn and Lily Ellen Milburn nee Critchley.
In 1943 Joyce marries Charles James Leonard Gwyther.
In 1949 Joyce married Bruce Ivan Martin (listed under her Maiden name).
